Improving Relations between communities and Police/Government
A vital aspect of inclusion work is reducing the impediments that create tensions between communities and the institutions that are supposed to serve them. These disconnects are especially troubling with regard to police/community relations, an issue that David has worked on in Pasadena CA, central Ohio, rural North Carolina, and other places.
Collaboration Across Divides
David has a particular talent for creating engaging and productive dialogues between groups that are more disconnected than they should be. His work on bridging divides has been useful to clients all around the US as well as overseas.

Courageous In-group conversations
Sometimes the key step in solving problems between groups is for a community to have an honest grappling with key internal issues. On numerous occasions, groups have engaged David's facilitation talents to have a transformative conversation to wrestle with internal disagreements that can get in the way of forthright steps forward in dealing with other communities and institutions.
